2018 KGLE BIBLE BOWL Questions and Answers

1.      Samson was not the only man in the Old Testament who had a bad hair day.  This son of royalty had such long and full hair that it got caught in a tree branch while he was riding.  He was killed while hanging there.  Who was killed, and who killed him?  Give Scripture reference.

2.      One of the furnishings of Solomon’s Temple was a large basin called the Sea made of cast metal.  What did the Sea stand upon in the temple?  Give the Scripture reference.

3.      This son of a dead king of Judah was rescued from his murderous grandmother, Athaliah, by his aunt, Jehosheba, and hidden in the temple of God for 6 years while his grandmother, Athaliah ruled Judah.  This act of bravery by the son’s nurse would preserve the Davidic dynasty as this son would go on to rule Judah for 40 years and restore the temple.  Give one of the two references.
